MONDAY 6th NOVEMBER The lull before the next high water point due around late Tuesday/early Wednesday when the rain in the Dales reaches York. SUNDAY 5th NOVEMBER So Sunday has arrived and we are still all here !! The river has gone down about 2ft but the waist line of our lady members has come up about 2 inches because of lack of exercise - why just the ladies I hear you cry - well the simple truth is that we have been unable to measure that gentlemen as we have not seen them return from the pub yet !! But seriously - folks - we are bracing ourselves for more - the meteorological office is predicating more rain tonight and tomorrow. So watch this space and we will keep you informed. I know we have not written much but it is Sunday and your webmaster is distracted by entertaining some lady members to lunch !! - Lucky Chap !!
