SATURDAY 11th NOVEMBER

Music to keep you company

The Water is out of the Boathouse and down to the second step !!

The other main development is the launch of the Floods Photo Album on this site.

All the photographs which have appeared in the previous days news are included so you can see them all together.

Your web master has been down to inspect the waters which are indeed going down - but mighty slow !!

It will be several days yet - and that's providing that there is little or no more rain in the next day or so - before we can begin to get back to normal.  Keep checking these pages for progress.

FRIDAY 10th NOVEMBER

There is just a chance that things are going down a little.

Let's not get too excited as the forecast is not all that bright but today has been a lovely Autumn day and a little sun has been seen.

The Small Boats Head looks like a possibility on the 26th November and we hope all our new found Web friends will take the opportunity to come and give us their support.

A couple more pictures for you today - and hopefully a picture album to go up over the weekend.

We have had several requests to put up a guest book so it's here and on the Home page - leave us a message if you feel the urge !!

Caption Competition proving very popular - have a go.

THURSDAY 9th NOVEMBER

Water still high - spirits still high - new date agreed for the Small Boats Head - now to be Sunday 26 November.

Between now and then you can imagine the work that will go on in and arround the Clubhouse to get it all cleaned up and spotless again when the waters go down.  As we stand today the water is still inside to a level of about 4ft and the prospect is that there are still a few more days to go before the levels reduce much.

If you were thinking of an entry for the SBH please do come it will act as a great incentive to us all to know we have a good entry to work for and a lot of guests to look after.

The entries for the Flood Caption Competition are "Flooding" in.  Have you sent yours yet ???    Click here

OUR WEB SITE IS STILL NUMBER 3 IN THE TOP 100 SITES THIS EVENING !!   KEEP CLICKING AND VOTING.

The Knavesmire ( York Race Course )

not, as you may think, Holme Pierrepont !!

We particularly like this photo as you can see where the boathouse is ( or was ) !!

As we get to the weekend your webmaster hopes to put all the photos togethr into a Flood Album so that you can enjoy them all together in Thumbnail and enlarge as you wish.  But in the meantime for previous days news and photos click here and work your way backwards - music provided for those who wish.
